Lunenburg Trip Continued ...
My friend Bern and I departed for Lunenburg about noon on a lovely Sunday. It was August 1st, 2010. Our 1st stop was the Masstown Market where I picked up a few farm fresh greens, berries and bananas (the makings of nutritious green smoothies) and we had lunch. I indulged in a huge broccoli salad … Masstown market specialty, I think and very tasty !
Our next stop was St Margaret’s Bay where we visited a fellow watercolour enthusiast, Yvonne and her husband at their summer home. It was a beautiful place overlooking the bay … but neither Bern or I took any photos there … too bad.
However we took a tour along the shore route and stopped for photos a few kilometres up the road. Here are some samples:

That evening we drove out to Blue Rocks and managed to get a few shots just before sunset.

The workshop was to begin on Tuesday … so we spent Monday exploring … driving and walking … checking locations … cafes and restaurants etc. That evening we went to the Lunenburg Art Gallery for a “meet-and- greet session. We waited around … enjoyed meeting the other workshop participants … chatting and tasting the snacks … but Alvaro didn’t show up. About 8PM we decided to leave and went back to our chalet … settled in and prepared for an early start on Tuesday.
