Living Food
Optimal health, high vibrational energy and a clear, focused mind and spirit is the golden ring I aim for. I have been on this quest for a long time. The journey began about 25 years ago, when I began seeking an alternative to pretty blue pills to ease debilitating migraine headaches. My doctor could offer no alternatives so I began searching and researching. There had to be a better way and I was determined to find it. I took the first steps of a journey of discovery and change. I discarded white flour and sugar, read “ Fit For Life”, became vegetarian, began exercising regularly. It all helped but I had a long way to go.
The transition to living food happened quite naturally without any decision on my part. In March 2005, I did a 10 day Master Cleanse Fast. My daughter Robin (Keiko Ti), who lives in Toronto, joined me in doing the Master Cleanse. We were support for each other during the 10 days. As we gradually returned to eating solid food, neither of us wanted the heavy, dead food we ate before. The light, energized way of living was too good to lose. We were forever changed. We could not go back.
I had no guidance or support, except for Robin (who was a novice also). It was completely trial and error … at least in the beginning. I made mistakes like releasing too much weight. I had amazing surprises like perfect BP readings, increased energy and more flexibility.
The 1st book I read about raw and living food was “ Nature’s First Law”. It was a straightforward, in-your-face kind of book. All I remember about that book is one phrase “cooked food is poison”. I couldn’t get it out of my head.
But the book that has influenced me most is “Green For Life”. I have read it several times and often refer to it.
I actually travelled to Toronto in March 2007 to attend the Toronto Health Show, where I met the author, Victoria Boutenko. I also met her husband Igor and their son, Sergi. They are known as ‘The Raw Family’. I highly recommend two books written by Victoria. One is ‘Green For Life’ and the other is ’12 Steps to Raw’.
Most people I meet think I am a little extreme, maybe eccentric or even slightly crazy. My friends accept me and at my invitation, share a living food meal with me occasionally. They always enjoy it. I used to offer alternative cooked dishes but they began to say “we want to eat what you eat…. it’s so fresh and pretty and it tastes great !”

The food I eat is colourful, delicious, enzyme intact, and life sustaining.

Along the way, I have gained a lot of experience and knowledge and there is more to discover.
I want to share … insights, resources, knowledge, recipes, encouragement. I welcome your comments, ideas, suggestions. Thank- You.
